Brilliant Tips for Beautiful Brows
Eyebrows are so important because they help frame your face and they can make such a big difference to your appearance but sometimes it can be a struggle to maintain them and help them look their best which is why I have decided to share some of my favourite tips with you today.
- Tint – Tinting your eyebrows makes them appear much fuller and the tint lasts for weeks which means your eyebrows will still look fabulous even when you are not wearing any makeup and it will save you a lot of time in the morning. Also, tinting your eyebrows does not need to be expensive or difficult. I actually prefer to tint my own eyebrows at home because it saves loads of money, you can top them up whenever you want from the comfort of your own home and it is surprisingly simple to do. If you would like to find out how to tint your eyebrows at home then I have a full blog post on it which you can check out.
- Apply coconut oil – Applying coconut oil to your eyebrows is a great way to help them become fuller, especially if you have over plucked them before but it still works great to nourish them even if you haven’t. All you need to do is simply put a small amount of coconut oil on your fingers or a cotton bud and apply it to your eyebrows. Coconut oil also works great for strengthening your eyelashes and helping them grow.
- Fill in – Filling in your eyebrows might seem like a bit of an obvious thing to do but it does work although it is important to not fill them in too harshly. Some of my favourite products for filling in my brows are the Revolution Focus and Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit and one of the Ted Baker eyebrow pencils. I love the Revolution eyebrow kit because it is extremely affordable and I love the fact that it is a powder and it has different shades in it. The powder in it is quite pigmented but also quite buildable which I really like because I don’t like my eyebrows to look to drawn on and unnatural. I also love the Ted Baker Eyebrow Pencil for days where I want my eyebrows to look very natural or if I am in a rush because the shade of this pencil looks great and not too harsh and the fact that it’s a pencil means that it makes filling in your eyebrows very quick and easy.
- Don’t over pluck – If you want your eyebrows to look their best then it is crucial to make sure that you do not pluck them too much. I get my eyebrows threaded and I would definitely recommend it because it makes your eyebrows look great after and overall provides great results. Getting your eyebrows threaded can be a bit painful but the pain doesn’t last too long and I would say that the end result is worth bearing a little bit of pain for. Eyebrow threading also lasts a lot longer than plucking which is great. It is recommended that you get your eyebrows threaded every two weeks however since I have quite fair eyebrows it usually lasts me about two months (sometimes longer)! You are not meant to pluck your brows between getting them threaded but I would say that it is okay to pluck hairs that are far away from your eyebrows but I wouldn’t recommend plucking the hairs to close to your brows because that is when things can start to go wrong.
Don’t forget that you should always try to be patient with your eyebrows and remember that they are sisters not twins.
