One Dress, Two Looks
Sometimes you just don’t have enough time to change outfit or go and buy a new dress before going out somewhere more casual or, somewhere more fancy, or maybe you don’t want to spend money on a dress that can only be worn on one occasion which is why I have come up with some tips on how to fix this and make your dress more versatile.
I recently found this lovely white and navy stripe dress in H&M for only £7 (in the sale) which I think is amazing. It would be perfect for so many occasions as it is very classic and can be easily dressed up or down. The length of the dress makes it much easier to go from day to night because it is not too long or too short. Dresses like this can come in handy for so many different things.
If you want to make your outfit a bit smarter then I would recommend adding a statement necklace, especially if your outfit is quite plain to begin with. Statement necklaces really help to make your outfit so much more interesting. If you want to go from a day to night look then statement necklaces are here to help. Remember you only need to change your accessories, not your clothes.
Another great way to make your outfit look a lot more dressy is to add heels. Shoes are a massive part of dressing an outfit up or down. This might seem pretty obvious but switching from converse to heels or even wedges can completely transform an outfit and make it look a lot more evening appropriate.
A nice bag is another way to change your outfit. You can go from your usual daily handbag to a sophisticated clutch to make a big difference to your outfit.
Another great tip in general for dressing up or down is to change your makeup, for example, a simple flick of eyeliner or a bold lip can instantly make you look much more ready for the night.
